Customer Reviews
I love my Graco Quattro stroller. No matter how many fancier strollers I own, the Quattro is staying until all the kids have outgrown it. It holds a lot of stuff, folds easily, the child is comfortable and fits well into the preschool years, it pushes and steers well, and it can take a serious beating. I also love reversible strollers for a small baby. This stroller seems like the best of both worlds - the durability and hauling capacity of the Quattro with the option to face your baby without using a bucket. Super easy to fold, can fold it with the seat facing you which many flippable strollers don't allow. But there are two wrinkles...
1. You have to remove the child to flip the seat. Might result in melt downs. Strollers where the whole seat gets turned around tell you to remove the child first, but you can still do it with a small enough child in the seat. Some strollers require you to move the handle from back to front, rather than the seat - no need to remove the child. The Quattro Reverse is different in that you simply push the back of the seat forward - the bum part of the seat stays in place - so there is no way around the not removing the child part. If you are like me and have a child who fights being buckled in but settles down once in and moving, this could be a problem.
2. When facing mom (or dad) the seat doesn't recline. It's pretty upright. It only pushes as far forward as the tray. Your mileage my vary but personally I feel like the "facing mom" option is best for younger babies - maybe up through 15 to 18 months of age - the point at which your baby may still be sleeping in the stroller a lot. SO if you want to walk and admire your sleeping snugglebug, this stroller gets a huge thumbs down. In my experience, older kids who don't sleep so much, are happier facing forward and seeing the world, so when your child is old enough for this set up, they won't want to face you anyway.
If you have a kid who likes to face you and doesn't sleep in the stroller, this is great - but it just doesn't cut it for me. If they made the seat recline when facing mom - this would be pretty awesome.
It's a step up from the Graco Flip-it which is evil to steer when in rearfacing mode, since it's easy to steer both ways, but it really needs to recline more.
